Welcome to The Official RUclips Channel of the Philadelphia Police Department! The Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) is the nation's fourth largest police department, with over 5600 sworn members and 800 civilian personnel. The PPD is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for serving Philadelphia County, extending over 140 square-miles in which approximately 1.5 million reside. Geographically, the Department is divided into twenty-one police districts. Personnel are assigned to work in dozens of different locations throughout Philadelphia, with Police Headquarters located at 400 N. Broad Street. The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the suspect depicted in the following video.
On July 20th, 2024, a masked suspect abruptly opened fire on a male riding a motorized scooter at 21st and Diamond Street. The victim was struck multiple times in the left side of his body but was able to transport himself to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Suspect Description: Black male, dark complexion, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers and black sunglasses.
